M-Pack Prepacked Well Screen

When setting monitoring wells, some sub-surface conditions such as caving, heaving or silty sand make conventional sand/gravel pack placement difficult or impossible.  The solution is to use a prepacked well screen manufactured by Rice.

Standard M-PACK™ Prepacked Well Screen with Outer Woven Stainless-Steel Mesh

  • Outer Screen Specifications
    • #65, 304 Stainless Steel Mesh.
    • Stainless Steel Clamps.
    • Removable PVC Thread Adaptor on both ends for re-packaging sand and re-use of entire well screen.
    • Other mesh materials available upon request.
  • Inner Screen Specifications
    • Schedule 40 PVC or Schedule 80 PVC.
    • Heat-welded construction eliminates solvents which can affect sample integrity.
    • ¾” to 2” diameter.  (19.05mm to 50.8mm)
    • 6” to 5’ lengths.  (152.4mm to 1.52m)
    • Prewashed.
    • Slot Sizing 0.010” to 0.020”. (0.254mm to 0.50mm)
    • Custom materials, diameters, lengths and slot sizes available.
  • Thread Specifications
    • ASTM F480 Thread with O-Ring Seal.
    • Acme Thread with O-Ring.
