Aluminum Bolt-Down Manhole Cover

• Corrosion resistant construction. Unlike steel manholes, will not rust in moist, damp or abrasive environments.

• One-piece 100% Aluminum Pipe Skirt is tough enough to withstand damage from pounding into the ground.

• Prevention against water contamination with nitrile ring gasket and one-piece skirt welded to the cover with no rivets or seams.

• Spark resistant construction. No sparking risk in explosive environments where flammable gases and vapors may be present.

• Secure cover with two (optional) lockable stainless steel bolts with O-Rings to reduce the risk of unwanted entry.

• Annual testing and certification of AASHTO load bearing rating to minimize your risk of liability in the event of a damaged manhole. Certificate, test results and technical data is available from Rice upon request.

• Designed, manufactured, tested and certified to exceed the AASHTO standard for H-20 loading.

• ‘DO NOT FILL’ graphic warning statement is permanently cast into the cover with an equilateral triangle insert in accordance with API recommended practices.

• Secure stainless steel bolt-down design requires no special keys or tools.

• Extra space surrounding the bolts to provide trouble free installation with ratchets or wrenches.

• Lockable stainless steel bolts are available for additional security.

• Magnetic insert built in to the cover for ease of locating the manhole when covered with snow or other debris.

• Rice contact information permanently cast into the cover.

• About 1/3 the weight of steel manholes for single person installation.
